At the end of July, the fifth annual Italian report on crowdinvesting was published, the result of studies conducted by the Entrepreneurship&Finance Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano.
All types of crowdfunding are mentioned: from lending to theequity passing through the real estate, with a perfect snapshot of the situation in Italy as of June 30, 2020.
The study notes that, at that date, 908 million euroshad been raised through crowdfunding in Italy.

Considering the "particular" year we are living, it must be said that crowdfunding has not suffered from the pandemic, the collection on the market and the flow of investments have grown.

What factors have led to this growth?
EQUITY NUMBERS
The growth, in the last 12 months, has been surprising: in fact, there has been an increase of 56%.
As of 30/06, 595 campaigns have been conducted in Italy, of which 193 in the last 12 months alone (compared to 170 in the previous year), on 42 authorised platforms, with 11,376 investors.
A total of €158.9 million was raised, of which €76.6 million between July 2019 and June 2020 alone.
Another growing factor is the value of the average investment: from €3,222 to €5,624 for investments made by individuals and from €20,000 to €46,890 those made by legal entities.
THE NUMBERS OF REAL ESTATE CROWDFUNDING
On the report you can also find an appendix dedicated to real estate crowdfunding, which has seen the funding of 154 projects with total investments collected equal to € 19.5 million for equity crowdfunding immmobiliare (Discover why investing in real estate crowdfunding).
FUTURE FORECASTS
The forecasts for the second half of 2020 and for the first half of 2021 give for sure a further increase both for equity and real estate: respectively they are expected to raise 80 and 60 million euros.
