To Be develops LiFi solutions by combining third-party hardware with proprietary software to provide its customers with the highest-performance LiFi offering available on the market.
Li-Fi, which stands for Light Fidelity, is a wireless data transmission technology that uses light to transmit information. It is able to offer numerous advantages, including increased bandwidth, high data rates (now reaching 1Gbps), no radio frequencies, superior protection from potential external hacker attacks, energy efficiency through the use of LED light fixtures, and high accuracy in terms of geolocation whereby the location of a device, and therefore also of a user, can be detected with a margin of error of a few centimeters.
The company provides turnkey solutions, but the core business is represented by the LiFi Zone® platform, software registered in SIAE and trademarked at the European level, functional to enable services useful to both the end user and the property manager such as indoor navigation, proximity marketing, data analysis and accessibility.
With more than 200 active LiFi points, To Be boasts important industrial, strategic, and commercial partnerships with major industry groups such as Signify (formerly Philips Lighting), Accenture, TIM, and S3K. It has achieved many world firsts including: Pompeii, first archaeological site with LiFi technology; Asl Na 2 Nord with the first LiFi hospitals in Italy and Europe; Roma Capitale with the first LiFi school in Italy.
LiFi Zone currently offers 2 different LiFi Geolocation solutions:
- Hotspot: the user receives information directly on their smartphone, via an app, from the light that illuminates the point of interest where they are;
- Indoor Navigation: like an indoor Google Maps, it enables navigation, wayfinding, and proximity content enablement.
The potential of the LiFi Zone platform also extends to infrared light LiFi connectivity solutions that are less mature to date (experimental projects) such as LiFi Streaming and LiFi Point-To-Point. These LiFi solutions are precursors to 6G.
After obtaining a 75K pre-seed from Digital Magics and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, To Be, through this campaign, wants to enhance the functionality of the LiFi Zone platform and scale commercially, replicating use cases nationally and internationally.
To Be 's campaign is being conducted through a capital increase involving both To Be Srl (the "Target" company) and a newly established vehicle called To Be [SPV] ( the "Vehicle" or "SPV" company). More information in the round section.
Tax benefits of 30% apply on To Be.
To Be reserves the right of "liquidation preference" for all investors who join the campaign, who will therefore be reimbursed first in case of exit than the other shareholders of the company (according to the order of preference stated in the bylaws).
