Very positive summer season and continuous growth for Cicalia, the first online supermarket in Italy with delivery of fresh produce without any geographical limit.

In July, the company reached 70 thousand euros in monthly sales, marking a new record since its inception, and recorded a significant increase in registered users, exceeding 12 thousand.
Data that confirm the strong and constant growth trend of the company: in 2017, the first year of activity, the turnover reached 490 thousand euros and in the first 6 months of 2018 376 thousand euros, more than doubling the one recorded in the previous six months.
The company has recently consolidated its partnership with Ortofrutticola, a leading company in distribution for the large-scale retail trade with over 100 million in turnover and 12 thousand customers. Ortofrutticola, already a partner of Cicalia in the purchase of goods, logistics and preparation of groceries, has finalized an investment of 100 thousand euros in the project, demonstrating a strong belief in the innovative business of the company.
From this collaboration was born the project, already at an advanced stage, the first fully automated warehouse in Italy, with the aim of lowering the costs of composition of expenses, allowing to prepare up to 700 orders per day and maximizing the revenues of the operations. This will allow Cicalia, already present in 20 Italian regions, to achieve sustainable development.
The company has succeeded in creating a solid and scalable alternative to the traditional supermarket: Cicalia is in fact theonly online retailer able to deliver fresh products in every area of the country, overcoming the logistical and assortment limitations of traditional chains and existing digital operators.
