About Cookies

Cookies are small text files that the sites you visit send and store on your computer or mobile device, and are then sent back to the same sites the next time you visit. It is thanks to cookies that the site remembers the user's actions and preferences (such as, for example, login data, the language chosen, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again when the user returns to that site or navigates from one page to another. Cookies, therefore, are used to perform computer authentication, session monitoring and storage of information regarding the activities of users who access a site and may also contain a unique identification code that allows you to keep track of user navigation within the site for statistical or advertising purposes. While browsing a site, the user may also receive on his/her computer or mobile device cookies from sites or web servers other than the one he/she is visiting ("third party" cookies). Some operations could not be carried out without the use of cookies, which in some cases are therefore technically necessary for the functioning of the site.

There are various types of cookies, depending on their characteristics and functions, and they may remain on the user's computer or mobile device for different periods of time: so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed; so-called persistent cookies, which remain on the user's device until a preestablished expiry date.

According to the regulations in force in Italy, the use of cookies does not always require the express consent of the user. In particular, the so-called "technical" cookies do not require such consent, i.e. those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. In other words, these are cookies that are indispensable for the functioning of the site or necessary to carry out activities requested by the user.

Among the technical cookies, which do not require express consent for their use, the Italian Data Protection Authority (see Prov. Gen."Identification of simplified procedures for the provision of information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies - 8 May 2014") also includes:

  • analytics cookies where used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself,
  • navigation or session cookies (to authenticate, to make a purchase, etc.),
  • functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to the same.

For the so-called profiling cookies, on the other hand, i.e. those aimed at creating profiles of the user and used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while surfing the web, the user's prior consent is required.
This site uses all the above-mentioned types of cookies, also to improve the user experience and the content offered, as well as to understand how users navigate the site.

In particular, this site uses:

  • Technical cookies, i.e. browsing or session cookies and strictly necessary for the operation of the site or to allow the user to take advantage of the content and services requested by them.
  • Analytics cookies, which allow us to understand how the site is used by users, including through the collection of information on user identity and personal data.
  • Functionality cookies, i.e. used to enable specific website features and a series of selected criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.
  • Third party cookies, i.e. cookies from sites or web servers other than the one hosting this site, used for purposes specific to those third parties.
  • Profiling cookies, including third party cookies, i.e. cookies that are designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user when browsing the web. Specifically, we use Google Analytics to carry out aggregate and punctual profiling and Mixpanel for punctual profiling.

The information obtained from this site through cookies is not used to identify users. Cookies are not used for purposes other than those described above.

For further information on the processing of personal data pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 - Privacy Code, see the specific privacy policy.

The user can select which cookies to authorize through the specific procedure provided below, as well as authorize, block or delete (in whole or in part) the cookies also through the specific functions of his or her browser: however, if all or some of the cookies are disabled, the site may not be accessible or some services or certain functions of the site may not be available or may not work properly and/or the user may be forced to change or manually enter some information or preferences every time he or she visits the site.

Cookie settings

Below it is possible for the user to make a choice and specifically indicate which cookies to authorise.
The user is informed that not authorising technical cookies may make it impossible to use the site, view its contents and use the relative services. Inhibiting functionality cookies may result in some services or certain functions of the site not being available or not working properly and the user may be forced to modify or manually enter some information or preferences each time he/she visits the site.

The lack of authorization with respect to the other cookies indicated (analytics or profiling) will not affect the functioning of the site.

In addition to this procedure, the user may block or delete (in whole or in part) the cookies also through the specific functions of his or her browser (see above).

The choices made by the user with reference to the site's cookies will in turn be recorded in a special cookie, with the characteristics shown in the special cookie table. This cookie may, however, in some circumstances not work properly: in such cases, the user is advised to delete unwanted cookies and inhibit their use through the features of their browser.

The user's cookie preferences will need to be reset if different devices or browsers are used to access the site.
