L'Indipendente

The Independent was born in 2021 from the intuition of Matteo Gracis (communication expert) and Andrea Legni (professional journalist), through a successful crowdfunding campaign: goal 25 thousand euros, result over 70 thousand euros raised.

The idea behind the project is very simple: no advertising, no public funding and consequently no conflict of interest. Result: truly free, reliable, quality information. Only the most important news, the news that really matters, verified and authentic. Even uncomfortable topics, which the mass media often ignore, exploit or censor.

Today L'Indipendente is an established reality, one of the most authoritative sources in the Italian media landscape. It is a website with 3million page views per month, an app downloaded by over 100 thousand people, a social community of half a million users, a publishing house of courageous books (+26 thousand copies sold in two years) and a monthly in-depth magazine that is the flagship of the project. All made possible by the more than 10 thousand subscribers.

The Independent has great room for growth (in a European market growing 15 percent a year) and a series of initiatives-some already work in progress-that guarantee its expansion.
