Cognivix is an innovative start-up founded in 2021 by Daniele Bernardini, a physicist with more than two decades of experience in complex software systems architecture. His vision was born from an intuition that, after many years of academic research and professional experience, finally took shape at a trade show on robotics, where he observed closely the emerging needs in the field of industrial automation. From this observation, Daniel saw a great market opportunity: a large part of industrial assembly processes, in fact, is still done manually, with a significant impact in terms of cost and efficiency. Thus, he intuited and developed a software solution that is scalable in that it can be applied to existing hardware, industrial robots, allowing them to learn and replicate assembly processes simply by observing the actions of a human being, without the need for complex programming. A true revolution in industrial automation.
This vision found support from other experts, who believed in the project from the start. Daniele thus involved the co-founders of Cognivix: Professor Marco Caccamo, Giorgio Calapà, Francesco Scalise and Leonardo Tassini, creating a close-knit and highly qualified team with the goal of transforming the industry of the future.
Cognivix's technology combines three fundamental pillars:
Cognivix is distinguished by its ability to make the assembly of complex products automatable in industries characterized by high variability and low production volume, overcoming the limitations of current reliance on manual labor. The target market includes plastic and metal components for electronics, automotive, and industrial manufacturing. Through inclusion in the "NVIDIA Inception Program" and strategic collaborations with partners such as FANUC (one of the largest manufacturers of industrial robots) and NTT Data (a Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed multinational corporation), the company is developing niche solutions that anticipate the launch of the full platform scheduled for 2028.
The growth potential is supported by a solid technological foundation and an ambitious roadmap, including the implementation of Proof of Concept projects for global companies and the application of the technology to real-world problems such as laser-cut part handling or welding automation.
This combination of innovation and adaptability enables Cognivix to tackle complex challenges, improving productivity, accuracy and flexibility, and opening up new market opportunities.
Tax benefits of 30 percent apply on Cognivix.
