EXIT
SWITCHO
MAVRIQ
Switcho, the protagonist of a major campaign on Mamacrowd in 2021 with more than 1.9 million euros raised, has reached the final milestone of its corporate journey. The Mavriq Group has completed the acquisition of 100 percent of the company, taking over the remaining shares a year earlier than originally planned. A deal that represents a significant milestone for both the innovation ecosystem and the investors who believed in the project.
Founded with a highly innovative and digital business model, Switcho has gone from being a promising startup to a solid scaleup in just a few years. Today the platform has 1.5 million registered users and has managed to consolidate its presence as an enabling infrastructure also in the B2B2C sector: in fact, its services are integrated in more than 10 leading Italian banking institutions, including Intesa Sanpaolo, Banco BPM and Credem. A business maturity that is clearly reflected in the financial results: Switcho closed 2025 doubling its performance compared to the previous year, recording an EBITDA of about 12 million euros.
The 2021 equity crowdfunding round (in which Azimut Libera Impresa also participated through the ALIcrowd I sub-fund) provided the necessary resources to accelerate the company's technological development and expansion. The strength of the results achieved led, in July 2024, to the acquisition of 80 percent of the capital by Mavriq (a brand of Moltiply Group, formerly MutuiOnline Group), starting from an original valuation of about 20 million euros. In March 2026, on the strength of the synergies developed within the group, Mavriq chose to move ahead of schedule, taking over the remaining 20 percent from the founding partners and achieving total control of the company.
Marco Tricarico, Redi Vyshka, and Francesco Laffi, the founders who guided Switcho to this stage of maturity, will accompany the company toward final integration into Mavriq. Their operational involvement will continue until the end of the year to ensure a successful transition and provide continuity to a service that has been able to accurately intercept consumer needs.
The conclusion of this acquisition journey translates into a tangible achievement for investors-retail, professional, and institutional-who took part in the 2021 campaign. Indeed, the transaction highlights an important creation of value: the partners who entered the campaign had invested on the basis of a pre-money valuation of 4.6 million euros, seeing today the exit finalized with a total Enterprise Value of 20 million euros. Switcho's evolution concretely demonstrates how equity crowdfunding can act as a real driver for companies with viable business models, supporting them in scaling up to become acquisition targets for large industrial players. It is a confirmation of how this tool allows active participation in the development of the country's technological realities, being able to count on real and measurable exit prospects.
