Mamacrowd at #SIOS20

Also this year Mamacrowd has been partner of StartupItalia for the StartupItalia Open Summit. The SIOS has been the reference event for startups and the digital world in Italy for 5 years now. The 2020 edition took place totally online, with the traditional workshops in streaming connection. Among the main workshops we remember "Italy restarting: measures and investments to startups and SMEs to support the economic recovery?", which was also attended by our CEO Dario Giudici.

It's All About Digital

The year 2020 will be remembered as a "Copernican revolution" that has laid the foundations of a new reality, from which to start towards innovative and interesting opportunities. It's All About Digital, the Winter Edition 2020 of SIOS, was born from these premises and ended yesterday, December 14th. This online edition was a success: the StartupItalia community followed the all-digital event with over 1 million views.

The remote experience was even more immersive, thanks to the collaboration with Coderblock, startup that conducted a successful campaign on Mamacrowd in June this year and that organizes 3D events on its virtual platform.

The appointment was as always an opportunity to meet (this year only virtually) the main startups on the Italian scene, as well as to outline the trends for present and future challenges.

The award ceremony

At the end of the event, the long-awaited award ceremony took place:

- The Startup of the Year 2020, chosen by a jury including Mamacrowd's analyst investment team, is Wise: a biomedical company engaged in the development of a new generation of implantable electrodes, with the aim of fighting chronic pain.

- The Community Award, assigned by the SIOS audience, went to the startup Unobravo, which helps people find psychological support online, thanks to a team of qualified psychologists and psychotherapists.

...And the Mamacrowd special award?

Among the special awards given by SIOS partners, there was also the Special Award - Mamacrowd, "delivered" yesterday in live streaming by our CEO Dario Giudici.

The Mamacrowd Special Award went to WILL, the first information community that travels on Instagram and has a following of over 600 thousand people. Founded by startupper Alessandro Tommasi, Will has already closed a €1.2 million round. The prize will give Will the opportunity to have a visibility package on the StartupItalia network worth 7 thousand euros, to be used during a crowdfunding campaign on Mamacrowd.
