Super Powers uses augmented reality to solve children's problems during doctor visits. 93% of young patients are afraid of doctors and their instruments, complicating pre, during and post visit procedures.
The startup has received private and institutional funding (LVenture Group, Club Accelerators and Esense Ventures) and recorded a 2017 revenue growth of +67% compared to 2016.
The service, which is highly scalable across a wide variety of healthcare sectors, is already available in more than 600 dental practices, 2 hospitals, 8 university dental clinics and the app has been downloaded by more than 13,000 households.
The company has commercial agreements with suppliers of products and services for doctors and dentists (Keydor Medical, Dentisti Italia and Reinhold) and partnerships with leading companies in the pharmaceutical, orthodontic and oral hygiene sectors (Menarini, Elmex, Colgate and Leone).
In 2017 it collected excellent feedback from the US market, receiving interest from several Institutes including Boston Children's Hospital, the main American children's hospital. The company is ready for expansion into the English-speaking world having already translated the entire digital platform into English.
Healthcare gaming is a growing trend that will see a worldwide growth rate of 54.7% by 2022 reaching $3.7 billion.
