OPEN INNOVATION
Exciting days for Airlite, which has been declared the winner of the New York Open Innovation Call, the competition organized by the city of New York to identify and test the latest technologies that can improve air quality and reduce the effects of urban heat islands.
The campaign has collected over €110,000 in endorsements.
Last May, the company was contacted directly by the competition managers, who asked for more information about the project and invited Airlite to submit the documentation to participate in the call. A few days ago, great news: Airlite is among the finalists of the Open Innovation Call.
Shortly after, the most important news: while air pollution was being discussed at the United Nations, Airlite, already included by KPMG among the major innovations of the Real Estate market in the Real Estate Innovation Overview 2019, was proclaimed winner at the Open Innovation Call in New York. Its technology may be used by the City of New York in specific projects.
Being recognized among the most promising technologies to improve air quality is for Airlite a further confirmation of the innovative scope of the solution developed as well as a chance to start penetrating the American market, the company's goal for 2020.
"This is a very important result" says Antonio Cianci, CEO and Co-founder of the company and continues: "as this award brings Airlite to be included among the products that the city of New York can use in specific projects. Thanks to the collection with Mamacrowd we want to raise the necessary funds to have the resources to grow commercially and start activities in the American market, which has shown to appreciate our technology at the highest levels".
